Thank You for an Amazing First Annual Kansas Motorcycle Sportsman’s Association Alumni Reunion!
This past Saturday in Manhattan, Kansas, we celebrated an incredible gathering of flat track enthusiasts, past and present. From showcasing amazing bikes—new and old—to raising funds for Back on Track Racers Recovery to support injured riders and their families, the event was nothing short of inspiring.
A special shoutout to Mike Patterson for leading the first inaugural Kansas Flat Track Hall of Fame Induction, honoring Stan Engdahl, Ken Pressgrove, Paul Pressgrove, and Bill Snyder. Mike also generously donated several very special and valuable auction items for the event.
Thank you to Scottie Deubler the voice of American Flat Track, for being our fantastic MC, and to Ronnie Jones for your unwavering support and leadership in this important mission of supporting fellow riders when faced with financial challenges due to injuries.
Thank you to Douglas Stewart for sharing the history of flat track racing with us all and the impact the state of Kansas made on motorsports around the world. Doug also donated several very special auction items for our silent auction.
Thank you to DoubleTree by Hilton Manhattan for hosting us, and to the talented Cabana Boys for keeping the energy alive with their incredible live music.
Thank you to the Kansas Motorcycle Museum for your amazing donation of the Husqvarna 390 for the live auction, as well as a $1,000 monetary donation, and some very special vintage t-shirts, all supporting Back on Track. We are so grateful for their support of our event and for their hard work to preserve flat track racing legacy.
And finally, a huge thank you to Russell Briggs for personally investing in the launch of this event. We did not have sponsors this year, yet thanks to his generosity, this is only the beginning.
Thank you to all the volunteers, and to everyone who attended, shared stories, laughed, and celebrated Kansas flat track history with us. None of this would happen without you all!
Special thanks to those who donated some very amazing auction items:
Douglas Stewart, Paul Pressgrove, Dan Brooks, Mike Patterson, VAZZO Companies, Kimmie Favazzo Patrum, Chuck Look, Max Buffington and Y Kay Buffington, Jim Oliver, Tim Lindfors, Russ Briggs, Yamaha Factory Racing, Kansas Motorcycle Museum, DoubleTree by Hilton Manhattan, and Mark Toelkes for the amazing KMSA T-Shirts
We welcome your feedback as we look forward to making next year’s event even better. Here's to continuing the legacy of flat track racing together! View and download all photos on our Facebook page album or at www.kmsaalumni.com
